How to stop unwanted notifications on chrome? Turn off Google notifications android
June 03, 2020
Overview
You might have subscribed to unwanted websites accidentally while downloading files or browsing somethings on the Internet. And most of us, use Google Chrome to search anything on Google. And when your phone is connected to the Internet, a bunch of notifications appears on the notification bar, which makes you irritating of deleting frequently and sometimes, it makes you uncomfortable when you are sitting with your friends or elderly people. Let's get started
You don't know which websites you have subscribed to but you are not willing to receive that unwanted notifications. Instead of disabling notifications of Google Chrome, you need to reset cache files, history and site settings. It helps you to block unwanted notifications and doesn't block other notifications like downloading files from Internet, playing audio and video, etc., which is very necessary for you.
Now, go to Google Chrome (it may be in apps folder).
Tap the three dots.
Find and tap settings.
Scroll down to and tap Privacy.
Tap Clear browsing data.
Tap Advanced.
Set Time range to All time.
Tick all options except Saved passwords. (If you don't want to remove passwords from browser and even if you tick the option, your passwords will remove from the browser but you can re-enter later on.)
Tap Clear data >> Clear.
Tap back arrow at the left-top corner side.
Find and tap Site settings.
Tap All sites.
Tap the link that you want to remove from browsers (but make sure that it should not be google.co.in or google.com etc. because it can't be removed.)
Tap Clear & reset.
Again, tap Clear & reset and you can repeat this step until you finish all the unwanted links from the browsers.
Close the app.
And if you don't want to get any notifications from Google Chrome, here are the steps:
Go to phone settings.
Tap Notifications.
Find Chrome.
Turn off the toggle button.
Close the settings.
I hope this will help to stop receiving unwanted notifications from Google Chrome on your phone.
