Screen Recording with PowerPoint 2010 and above

Capture and record anything on your computer screen along with your voice and make into a video, which can be shared on social media or with your friends. Most of us use third party screen recording software, screen recording app, etc. for this recording but it is only for professional level only. For your easy and simple, PowerPoint is best for you, especially, if you are using for educational purpose.

Let’s learn the steps and try on own computer or laptop.

Open Ms PowerPoint (make sure that latest version 2010 and higher).
Create Blank Presentation.
Connect headphone to your computer for better audio.
Go to INSERT tab.
Find Screen Recording under the Insert tab and click it.
Now, you will see highlighted screen that you need to select the computer screen which you want to record.
Once you select the screen, click Record button.
Now, your screen will be recorded.
To pause or stop move your mouse on the top of the screen and click it or you can use shortcut keys, to pause >> press Windows logo + Shift + R and to stop >> press Windows logo + Shift + Q.
Your video is ready, which will be appeared in the blank slide.
You can slightly edit like trim, cut, etc., if you wish.
Right click on the video clip and click Save media as.
Select file location like Desktop, local drive.
Type filename and click save.
Now, wait till its completion.
After completing, you can share or upload wherever you want to.
